Delivery Policy

How we ship our products:

Parcels:

Small quantities of items under 2 meters in length can be sent by parcel packaged in a pre – used cardboard box. Re-using cardboard boxes is even better than using recycled cardboard, as it saves delivery costs, manufacturing costs, energy costs and reduces the pollution associated with all of these. Parcels are sometimes un economical to deliver, our prices are dictated by the courier and we add no fees to the quote they provide us.

Pallet:

If the goods are sent on a pallet and are less than 2 metres in length and the total weight of the order is under 1000kg, the order can usually be unloaded from the delivery vehicle using a tail lift. If the pallet is longer than 2 metres / 1000kg+  or in other exceptional circumstances, the pallet will need to be unloaded using unloading equipment such as a fork lift truck or tractor. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide this equipment. If you wish to discuss your delivery requirements with us, please call on 01968 565 225

Notification of delivery:

We ask our carriers to try to contact you at least an hour before delivering your goods to make sure you can receive them at the time they are likely to be delivered but is not always possible. If you can receive delivery only in certain times, we recommend to book timed delivery for some extra cost.

Disposal of packaging:

It is the customer`s responsibility to dispose of the packaging, please dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner. Our plastic wrap can be biodegradable, please recycle it along with any carboard. Pallets and other strapping should be disposed of in an appropriate manner, it is not the responsibility of the delivery driver to take this away.

If you have a problem with your delivery

If the delivery is late or has not turned up and our carrier has not contacted you, please contact us on 01968 565 225 and we will sort it out directly with them. Though we ask all carriers to call you one hour before delivery this cannot be guaranteed.

If you are missing part of your delivery or if your goods are damaged in any way, please take a photo of them either on the truck or immediately after delivery then contact us immediately and ensure that you have marked the delivery as being incomplete or damaged with the carrier on receipt. Missing goods will be sent as soon as possible. Damaged goods will normally need to be returned to LL plastic LTD

LL Plastic Ltd use external, 3rd party delivery companies. The customer should examine all products on receipt of them, in order to ensure all products are in a good condition and undamaged before they are singed for by the customer. Alternatively sign for them as damaged. Goods signed for 'unchecked' are just that, unchecked and the courier company or LL Plastic will accept no liability for damages or shortages after the order has been signed for. Customers have 3 days to raise any damage complaints. LL Plastic Ltd will then endeavour to support a customer's claim and will replace damaged or lost parts if signed for as damaged / parts missing on receipt of goods by the customer. Orders signed for in good condition that are later found to be damaged or lost in transit will not be considered for a claim from our courier companies due to the fact they were received and signed for by the customer as delivered and in good condition.

Planning your Delivery:

We strongly suggest you do not book any trade person to complete a job involving goods ordered from us, until all parts of your order have been received in good order.  We cannot accept any liability for any costs incurred due to damages, defects, delays or issues with the goods in transit.

As well as using our own van, we also utilise national carriers to deliver our goods, which means we are unable to provide an exact time for delivery.  Our delivery times are usually between, but not restricted to, the hours of 07:30 and 18:00. In some cases, we may be unable to give an exact day for delivery as some of our suppliers work on date ranges.

Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions, delivery of larger items are only able to be delivered ‘kerbside’.  It is not their responsibility to take the delivery into your home.  We expect them to be helpful, but it is always advisable to make sure that there is adequate help to unload the delivery into your home. We will try to accommodate your delivery requests where possible, however the delivery driver will assess the location on arrival and will advise you where is and is not able to place the goods.

Hand unloading can occasionally be done from a truck but this is up to the depots discretion, LL Plastic accept no liability for  injury or damage caused by hand unloading our goods.

If the courier is unable to make a delivery a because you were not available on site or on phone, you will be liable for a charge for re-delivery and may be liable for any restocking charges.

DELIVERY OF ITEMS IN STOCK

Where we have products in stock and the order has been confirmed we aim to deliver all goods in 4-5 working days with economy delivery and 1- 2 days with premium delivery (next day for extra cost). Delays can occur but we aim to deliver goods as quickly as possible. For Scotland delivery goods may be delivered by our own van up to 1.4 tonne, and delivery will be arranged uniquely for each order.

DELIVERY OF ITEMS NOT IN STOCK

Items that are not in stock can take longer to deliver.  Fabricated items such as furniture, including benches and picnic tables are made to order and so will take longer to deliver. If a standard product is out of stock (e.g. fence slat, fence post). We can normally re-stock these in 4 weeks or less. We will inform you by email when your goods are dispatched and on the way. Please call if you need more details.

CUSTOMER COLLECTIONS

Orders can be collected from the Warehouse subject to stock availability. Select Customer Collection in the basket before proceeding to check out. On the checkout page use the Comments box to add notes about your preferred collection day stating am/pm. Collections can be made between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday, or in special cases over the weekend.

Delivery Charges

All our products are priced excluding any delivery charge and therefore this will be added to your order at the point of checkout.  Our delivery charges are the true cost with no additional charges added on.

Delivery charges vary with each item. They are dependent on weight, floor space, delivery method and priority chosen by the customer.

We use a courier service for deliveries. We are able to track and trace all orders in the unlikely event of a delivery being late, lost or damaged in transit.

If you are not available to accept the order at time of delivery, and the courier company has not had instruction to leave the order, a charge will be made. The charge will vary from order to order. This covers the re-delivery charge made by the courier company, or the delivery back to LL Plastic Ltd.

Delivery Terms:

As LL Plastic Ltd use external companies for our deliveries therefore all delivery dates are estimated and not guaranteed. Once the order leaves the LL Plastic premises, it is out of our control and the responsibility of the courier.

LL Plastic Ltd will accept no responsibility for orders which are late or not delivered at the specified time.

If there are any special requirements, these should be notified to LL Plastic at the time of order. For example, if access is restricted, smaller vehicles are needed or the order is to be left somewhere then LL Plastic must be notified. Pallet delivery is a large rigid lorry for our palletised items or a large van for the smaller items. If either of these are not suitable for delivery, please let us know
